For children to learn English well, the most important thing is to love learning it at first. How can we boost their interest in learning the language so that children are not afraid of learning English? In fact, language is life and culture. As long as you read more, listen more, speak more , and accumulate a good foundation over time, your language will gradually improve. Our professional team of foreign English teachers are committed to provide a rich language environment through diverse language teaching activities such as picture books and immersive English learning. We increase the time for reading and discussion in English with combining English communication with daily self-care. This can provide more opportunities for children to be exposed to and use English to boost their confidence and motivation to learn English.
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Lee Wong Hing Cheung Memorial Kindergarten uses picture books and games as strategies to create learning situations related to daily life for children. We encourage them to explore the world through stories. Our curriculum is based on the six major areas; Chinese, early childhood mathematics, nature and life, physical fitness and health, individuals and groups, art and creativity. We combine these learning areas with the stories provided by our picture books to put children in the most immersive environment. Our joyful learning environment has also been developed in the most comprehensive way.

Taking advantage of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of our school earlier, we specially invited Ms Chan, an English picture book tutor, to come to the school to create an English children’s picture book “A for Amazing Animals” with K3 students, and printed 800 copies Tuen Mun District children for free.
In order to promote the development of children’s Chinese ability and enhance their interest towards learning Chinese with the NCS children, teachers will read the “Fun Learning Chinese” books with all children during the period of optional learning activities. Therefore, it would encourage NCS children to learn Chinese actively and with a positive attitude.
Students would also cultivate good moral values through the Chinese language and to have a better understanding of Chinese culture. Hence, teachers will read aloud the Di Zi Gui with all children during the morning assembly. This would promote their positive values for traditional Chinese rules towards all NCS children.
