本園為使學生認識西方節日-萬聖節及其傳統習俗,定於10月31日(星期二)上課時間內舉行萬聖節活動。活動內容包括:外籍老師與學生進行英語活動、萬聖節大電影、攤位遊戲等,學生是日可自由裝扮,發揮模仿之天性及扮演的潛能,並帶備活動袋及茶點用具回校,上課時間照常。

是日全體學生可穿著運動便服,帶備活動袋及茶點用具回校,上課時間照常。

9月29日(星期五)舉行生日會,是次生日會主題為「齊來慶生日」,為9月份出生之學生慶祝,還讓幼兒認識中秋節的習俗及應節食品等,並認識國慶日的意義、奏唱國歌應有的禮儀。是日全體學生可穿著中國服飾或便服,帶備活動袋及茶點用具回校,上課時間照常。

聖誕節快樂

2021年12月17日,幼兒精心打扮一同提早慶祝這個普世歡騰的日子 ,他們愉快投入在活動中,透過音樂合奏、拼圖遊戲、音樂傳禮物盒等遊戲,學習到與聖誕節有關的知識,最後還獲得大大的禮物包及氣球,真開心呢!

全港挺直校園護脊計劃

本校十分重視幼兒的脊椎健康,故每年均會參加由兒童脊科基金舉辦之「全港挺直校園護脊計劃」,並已於2021年9月29日(星期三)完成了本年度之計劃啟動禮及宣誓儀式。幼兒承諾會成為全港挺直護脊小先鋒,好好保護脊骨、每天勤力做護脊操、積極宣揚脊骨健康的重要。

常言道:幼兒就像一張白紙,老師的角色就是讓白紙填滿色彩。我相信創造性思考發揮盡致時,會產生一些結論,如一則故事、一首詩、一幅畫和一首樂曲等。為讓幼兒的世界帶來更繽紛的色彩,啟發無限創意,培養審美觀,學會追求美的態度,在教育工作上有新的體會和突破,成功透過繪本,將幼稚園教育課程中的語文、幼兒數學、個人與群體、藝術與創意、體能與健康和大自然與生活六個學習範疇的學習融為一體,制訂校本綜合藝術課程,運用綜合藝術教學策略,設計創新的多元學習活動,鼓勵幼兒表達自我及發揮創意,促進他們自主學習。


在推動校本綜合藝術課程上獲得業界的肯定,於2017/2018年度獲頒「行政長官卓越教學獎」。我認為藝術創作並沒有一定的起步點,每位幼兒的能力、興趣及需要就是他們自己的起步點。幼兒熱愛繪本,便利用繪本作為切入點,使幼兒的學習經歷從故事開始,繪本中的插畫能激發幼兒的創作靈感,並配合幼兒的生活經驗和興趣,以故事的內容和插畫激發幼兒的想像力,將藝術元素貫穿六大學習範疇,提供統整和連貫的學習經驗,讓創意發揮得淋漓盡致。


我在過去多年來擔任發展校本課程的先行者,無論在推行繪本課程,抑或綜合藝術課程,有豐富的教學經驗。本年,加入東華三院李黃慶祥紀念幼稚園擔任主任一職,監察學校的課程發展,在繪本教學的基礎上,帶領專業的老師團隊,攜手發展持續性的校本綜合藝術課程,培育幼兒熱愛藝術、熱愛生命、發揮創作力,使他們成為充滿創意和自信的新一代。

It is said that a child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every passerby leaves a mark. I believe that some concluding remarks emerge from creative thinking e.g. a tale, poem, painting and melody. To bring more colours to a child’s world, unleash their creativity, promote their understanding of aesthetics, and gain some new perspectives and breakthroughs in my educational career. I have succeeded in using picture books to integrate six learning areas in the preschool curriculum, namely, Language, Early Childhood Mathematics, Self and Society, Arts and Creativity, Physical Fitness and Health, and Nature and Living. I have been able to design a school-based art curriculum by utilizing art teaching strategies. I have formulated diversified and interesting learning activities to motivate students to express themselves, unleash their creativity and facilitate their spontaneous learning. 

I received the 2017/2018 Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence as recognition of my promotion of a school-based art curriculum. There is no specified starting point in creating art. Every child has different capabilities, interests and needs to create – they each have own starting point. When I discovered that young children enjoy reading picture books, I used picture books to help them learn by reading stories and cultivating their creativity through reading. This includes their daily routines and interests, unleashing their imagination with the contents and graphics of the tale, and blending the six learning areas with art components for integrated and consistent learning experiences and optimizing creativity unleashed.

I have been a pioneer of school-based curricular development over the years. Because of this, I have been promoting an illustration book curriculum and teaching a general art curriculum. As the new director of TWGHs Lee Wong Hing Cheung Memorial Kindergarten in charge of supervision of the school curricular development, and on the basis of illustration book teaching, I will lead the professional teaching crew. I will also develop a sustainable school-based general art curriculum, foster preschool pupils’ love of art and life, and unleash their creativity, and make a new generation full of creativity and confidence.

楊校長心語 – 正向積極樂成長 全人教育啟潛能 Principal Ms. Yeung Kin Yuet: Promote Positive and Happy Childhood and Introduce Holistic Education to Unleash Childrens’ Potential

東華三院李黃慶祥紀念幼稚園與高德根紀念幼稚園坐落屯門區,分別已有35年及40年之久,一直秉承東華三院辦學校訓,以勤、儉、忠、信為進德修業的依歸。本人有幸於是年成為兩校的總校長,砥礪前行,與時並進,發揮東華團隊精神,為屯門區提供優質的幼兒教育服務。

本人曾義務出任香港社會福利署屯門區家庭及兒童福利服務協調委員會委員,東華學院幼兒教育諮詢委員會委員及教育局幼稚園外評外間觀察員,亦曾帶領學校三位教師獲得 2017/2018 年度行政長官卓越教學獎,更多次向業界分享課程發展的經驗和心得,曾於香港教育大學幼兒教育學系幼教研討會及優質教育基金的分享會中分享推展「幼兒創意綜合藝術計劃」的經驗及成果。

憑藉多年實踐經驗及東華的豐富資源,我將積極締造兩所具專業教師團隊,培育明日社會棟樑的幼兒園地。深信積極正向的教師,才能培養不怕失敗,勇於嘗試的好孩子,每位小朋友潛能無限,氣質各異,只要善加鼓勵,解讀孩子心靈的小眼如何看待這個大世界,並讓他們建立自信,便能讓孩子發揮所長,故我們推動教師進行同儕觀課及專業培訓等,形成學習圈,將最適切的教學法帶進課堂。

除此之外,期望透過課程革新,從孩子的智力智商、情緒智商以及道德智商進發,以遊戲為策略,營造兩所新一代有良好品德、具自信又能快樂成長的幼稚園。

TWGHs Lee Wong Hing Cheung Memorial Kindergarten and TWGHs Ko Teck Kin Memorial Kindergarten have been established in the Tuen Mun District for 35 and 40 years respectively. Both schools uphold the TWGHs school motto of “Diligence, Frugality, Loyalty and Faithfulness” as a guiding principle. This year, I am honored to serve as the Principal of both kindergartens. I am committed to providing quality early childhood education services in the Tuen Mun District with determination, dedication, perseverance and the Tung Wah Spirit.

I have voluntarily served as a member of the SWD Tuen Mun District Co-ordinating Committee on Family and Child Welfare Services, a member of the Tung Wah College Preschool Education Consultation Commission and an external observer (kindergarten) of EDB. Under my leadership, three of our teachers received the 2017/2018 Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence. I also attended multiple professional seminars to share my experiences regarding curriculum development. I also shared experiences of promoting the Integrated Creative Arts Programme for Children in early childhood education seminars held by the Department of Early Childhood Education of Education, University of Hong Kong as well as sharing in seminars held by the Quality Education Fund.

With my years of experience in early childhood education and abundant resources from TWGHs, I will proactively guide our professional teaching teams in both kindergartens, foster a quality early childhood education for the future elites of our society. It is my believed that positive and active teachers can foster students with courage and perseverance. Every student has unique potential and traits. They can unleash their true power with our motivation, understanding with the society and good self-esteem. Thus we encourage teachers to participate in peer observations and professional training to form a learning circle that brings the fittest teaching approach to every classroom. 

The curriculum reform enhances students’ intelligence, emotional and moral quotients. Both TWGHs Lee Wong Hing Cheung Memorial Kindergarten and TWGHs Ko Teck Kin Memorial Kindergarten are committed to foster students to have good moral character, confidence and happy childhoods.
